     Stuffed  Bread toast 

Bread toast is a common breakfast or snack among everyone, which can be made very quickly and loved equally by adults & kids. 

            Here is a scrumptious stuffed Bread toast, a variety recipe stuffed with veggies &  egg with flavourful spices. Also a good idea to include veggies into your kids meal in a favorable way. You can also add cheese to make it cheesy& more tasty. 

                  This is an easy recipe, it won't take much time. Its prepared in a simple way by cutting a square piece from a Bread slice,filling  the stuffings and placing back the bread piece and toast it. Veggies along with the egg gives a wonderful taste. So  add this special healthy Bread toast into your meal plans.

Cooking time : 15 mins


Ingredients :

  • Bread slices -  5- 6
  • Eggs -  2
  • Cabbage (chopped) - 1/4  cup 
  • Carrot (finely chopped) - 1/4 cup
  • Capsicum (chopped) - 1/4 cup
  • Onion (chopped) - 1 small size
  • Green chilly - 1-2
  • Ginger - garlic paste - 1/2 tsp
  • Pepper powder -  1/2 tsp
  • Turmeric powder -  1/4 tsp
  • Cumin powder -  1/4 tsp
  • Oregano - 1/4 tsp (optional) 
  • Butter - as required 
  • Salt  to taste 


Instructions :

For stuffing 

  1. Heat a pan, add some butter, saute onion.                                                   
  2. When it turns soft, add chopped green chilly, ginger - garlic paste & saute it well.                                                                             
  3. Next add carrot, give a mix. Cover it  and allow it to cook for 2 minutes on medium flame.                                                                             
  4. Then add salt & all the spice powders & mix it.                                         
  5. Now add the cabbage &  capsicum, mix well and cook for a minute. Turn off the flame, sprinkle some Oregano or any dried herbs as your choice.                                                                               
  6. Take a bowl, beat 2 eggs adding some salt. Then mix veggies &  egg together. 
For toasting 
  1. Cut out a small square piece from the middle of the bread slices &  keep it ready.                                                                               
  2. Heat a tawa or skillet,keep on medium to low flame. Add some butter to toast.                                                                                 
  3. Place the bread (the edge piece), fill egg - veggie mixture in the middle hole, then place the cut out square piece & press slightly.                                                                                                 
  4. Now flip both sides & toast it with butter, and it's done.                     
  5. Continue this with all Bread slices and serve it hot with tea or coffee......
