                   Malabar Beef korma 


                 


                                            Beef korma is a delicious Indian curry with the taste of Indian spices & Coconut. Crushed black pepper, crushed fennel & other spices brings an authentic taste in this curry, so it's spicy though it's very tasty. I used to add cashew while grinding the Coconut which gives an extraordinary taste than others. 

You can also prepare this same recipe with mutton, it's also tastes amazing...
And this is pretty easy  to prepare in large quantity for any party, so you can treat your guests with easy and awesome dish! 
The best combination with this korma is ghee rice, and it also goes well with parathas, naan...

Preparation time : 15 minutes 
Cooking time : 30 minutes 
Serves :5-6 persons

Ingredients :-

  • Beef - 1kg 
  • Roasted fennel seeds - 1 tblsp (crushed) 
  • Crushed Black pepper - 1 tblsp 
  • Coriander powder - 3 tblsp
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Garam masala powder -  1/4 tsp
  • Oil - 3 tblsp 
  • Onion - 3 sliced 
  • Ginger crushed - 2 tblsp 
  • Garlic crushed - 2 tblsp 
  • Green chilly - 5 crushed 
  • Curry leaves - 2 tblsp 
  • Tomato - 2 sliced
  • Water - 1 1/2 cup 
  • Grated Coconut  -  1/2 cup 
  • Cashew - 5 no. 
  • Coriander leaf - a handful 



Directions :-


  1. Heat oil in a pressure cooker, add ginger, garlic, green chilly, curry leaves. Saute it for few seconds. Then add onion  &  saute till it becomes soft. 
  2. Then add tomato &  allow it to cook for 2 mins. 
  3. To this add all spice powders &  mix well, till raw smell goes. 
  4. Next goes beef pieces into this &  mix until well combined. 
  5. Add  salt &  water and pressure cook on high flame. After the first whistle turn into simmer and cook for 15 - 20 mins. Then turn off the flame. 
  6. Meanwhile add Coconut &  cashew into a mixer jar and grind it adding little water. 
  7. When the beef is done, open the lid & adjust salt, also add more water if you need more gravy and let it boil.  
  8. Then add ground Coconut &  Cook for 2 mins. Finally, add chopped coriander leaves. Turn off the flame &  keep it covered. 
Beef korma is ready to serve...
