Omelette Bread toast
How about preparing a quick breakfast with ingredients usually we have in our home. It's very helpful for all moms, and even though we are in hurry, we prefer healthy food.. Right?
So,don't worry.. Here's an amazing, healthy & quick breakfast recipe!
Normally, we used to make Bread & eggs for breakfast, but this is a unique way of preparing omlette bread toast & veggies are added to make it more healthy. This is the best idea to feed veggies for your kids. Even you can serve this as tiffin snack for them. I also add some mayonnaise to make it more tasty & kids favourite too.
You can add cheese instead of mayonnaise, if you're a cheese lover.
Just try this in your busy days, so you can save your time with enjoying scrumptious breakfast..
Preparation time : 5 minute
Cooking time :10 minutes
Ingredients :-
- Egg - 4
- Bread - 4 large slices
- Onion - 1 medium size
- Green chilly - 1 or 2 (chopped)
- Ginger - garlic paste - 1 tblsp
- Carrot - 1 medium size (chopped into small pieces)
- Cabbage - 1 cup (grated)
- Capsicum - 1/2 cup (chopped)
- Spring onion - 2 tblsp (chopped)
- Coriander leaf - 2 tblsp
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
- Cumin powder - 1/4 tsp
- Salt to taste
- Butter / ghee - 2 - 3 tblsp
Instructions :-
- Take a frypan (medium sized), add butter & fry onion till it turns golden brown.
- Then add green chilly, ginger garlic paste & saute it for a while.
- Next add all the veggies, ( you can add veggies of your choice) and fry on medium flame until it is cooked.
- Then add turmeric pwd, cumin powder & salt & saute it for few seconds.
- Meanwhile take a bowl, beat eggs by adding salt. (also add pepper pwd if needed).
- Turn off the flame & add Cooked veggies into beaten eggs & mix well.
- On to the same pan, grease some butter & pour egg mix and cook for few seconds on very low flame.
- Before the omelette dries up, spread some mayonnaise or cheese (as you wish).
- Cut each Bread slices into 4 pieces & spread on top of the omelette. Try to fill all the spaces. Cover and cook for 1 minute. Don't forget to keep on low flame.
- Take a plate, place on top of that and flip into the plate. Again transfer to the pan and toast the bread side for 2 minutes.
