Simple dish/egg malai curry /egg recipe

 

                          EGG MALAI CURRY

                       
                         

Egg malai curry is a creamy & yummy gravy which is very easy  to prepare. And only common ingredients are used in this, so, if you have eggs, just think of this recipe! 
This is a semi-gravy dish, and milk which is used in this recipe, gives creamy texture to this. You can also add cream to make it more rich and tasty. This is very simple,but delicious. Any Indian spices are not added in this, (like red chilly) though it's spicy enough. You can serve this dish for breakfast or dinner along with Indian Bread or any other.. 


Preparation time :5 minutes 
Cooking time :10 minutes 
Serves : for 2 persons


Ingredients  :-

  • Egg -  3 (boiled) 
  • Onion -  2 medium size (finely chopped) 
  • Green chilly  - 2 (finely chopped) 
  • Ginger-garlic paste -  1 tsp of each
  • Pepper powder -  1/4 tsp
  • Cumin powder -  1/4 tsp 
  • Garam masala powder - 1/2 tsp 
  • Milk -  1 cup 
  • Coriander leaf chopped - 1 handful 
  • Kasuri methi -  for garnishing (it's optional) 
  • Salt  to taste 
  • Butter -  2 tblsp
  • Water -  if needed



Instructions :-

  1. Heat butter in a wok, add chopped onion and fry until it turns golden brown. 
  2. Then add green chilly & ginger-garlic paste and saute it for a while. 
  3. Next add pepper pwd, cumin pwd, garam masala pwd, Salt and mix well. 
  4. Turn into simmer  and add milk, mix well. 
  5. Keep it covered &  cook for 2 minutes. 
  6. Add water as per the consistency you need. When the gravy starts to boil  add coriander leaf &  boiled eggs ( cut into half). Turn off the flame and keep it covered. Garnish with some Kasuri methi.
